ok guys and gals, hopefully this is the last question I will have about this 440. A little background of the motor- 76 440 out of a motor home, basic stock rebuild- honed cylinders, new rings, gaskets, new cam (stock specs), new lifters, valves and seats were ground. I finally got it in the truck and fired up. I did the cam break like normal. Runs great except I have a lifter ticking, not at start up but when it gets up to normal temperature. What would cause a lifter to stick once warmed up? I drove it down the road tonight for about 10 miles alternating speeds to see if it would come out of it but no such luck. I am running Mobil Delvac 1300 super 15W/40 oil with a bottle of Lucas TB zinc-plus added to it. Is there a chance it will come out of it or will I have to replace a lifter?

Or a pushrods may be too short. We're the out back in order or? Kim
The push rods were all the same length. I checked them all to make sure none were bent and I had them all laying next to each other. If it was a push rod then wouldn't it do it when it was cold also?
