In the ongoing quest to make my 340 fast, I have yet ran into another issue. I recently scored a Crane roller cam and solid rollers on eBay for $400. However, the price I am now paying is in clearance issues. The keeper on the lifters catch on the rib support above the lifter bore. Is this normal to have to clearance? Is it even okay to take some material off the rib to clear the "v" on the keepers? Thanks.

I think there are liftersets out there, that solve this problem. If your short block is already assembled, this is an option. I have for sure seen them in hydraulics.
