I decided to just buy a new pump since everything else is new. They look the same one has a straight arm an the other has curved. Side by side looks like the flat that runs on the eccentric is in same spot. Also my old one I cant hardly pump by had....the new one is super easy to pump. Are they the same? Same pressure?

My guess is it will be around 6 psi. I run a AZ $20 Airtex OEM pump and run high 11s with a 360.
The arm is just of a slightly different design. The end of the arm still lands on the camshaft in either case. It's just different geometry. The new one will work fine.

How many is too many?
A few years ago Airtex had some quality control issues. I had a brand new one that clattered and barely would pump. If the spring is that much weaker I don't think you will get the same pressure you were. Definitely check your pressure and listen to it with a long screwdriver or stethoscope.
