stock harness

Depends on what sort of upgrades you have in mind. If they include fuel injection or a really loud stereo, there's some things you'll want to change. If you aren't adding extra current draw, I would say no, as long as your stock harness is in good shape. So what are you planning on adding?
 
I agree. Unless it's been hacked up or otherwise damaged you can probably easily modify and/or repair it. Undo the harness tape where necessary and rewrap after you've made changes using actual harness tape (not electrical tape). Places like Eastwood sell rolls of non-adhesive harness tape.
 
the only upgrades will be an electric rad fan and maybe aftermarket headlights for now. it has a cd player but not a big stereo system. I might add a stereo in the fruture and maybe a electric fuel pump but for now its just the fan
