Was up people,i got one for ya all,do any of u know if a stock 72' 7 1/4 rear is the same width as a stock 72' 8 3/4 rear?my dad has a 8 3/4 in his Duster hes going to junk it for a built D60 for his 9 sec 440 hes building!,im gonna run the 8 3/4 in my dart,i hav some tires probs with his tires that are on my car there to big,at L60X15 there just to wide,and i here that the 8 3/4 is like 2" shorter Flange to flange,is this true,id like to use these tires all i need is like a inch on both sides and there good to go!Help me out if ya all know!

The 7 1/4 has a flange to flange of 53.2" and the 8 3/4 is 51.4 (I measured the one on my shelf at 51 15/16"). But remember that the flange to flange doesn't mean that you'll have that difference in clearance. The drum to drum could be the same even if the flange to flange is different due to brake size/axle offset. The best bet is to measure the width drum to drum.
