stormchasers were is Chicago earlier today watching it snow. they showed up this afternoon because Springfiled is in the center of the high storm threat area for Wed!

only thing that would be worse is if they show up AFTER the storms!!??? LOL
 
I have seen some big teams here in northeast Arkansas.

Chasers are a crazy bunch, lol... Since I'm a ham radio opp I went to storm spotter training and used to do damage reports after the storm. That's close enough for me. The past few yrs. I haven't been active. Let the car hobby get in the way. I should get back into it.
 

the death and descuction for just a small tornado is bad. seeing what it did n Joplin few years ago is beyond description!

few years back in N. MO. I watched an F5 as it came within 1/2 mi of us. I had a basement then (in another life), to hid in. when I was able to actually see the "stuff" moving around in the funnel, I went to the hidy hole!!!

in s w Ga decades ago, small hit wihin 1/2 mi of us, I didn't even know it till I heard it on the news few minutes later. it blew apart a mobile home , ( only thing recognizable was the frame) scattered it over 40 acres, killed the mother, the baby was found way across the road, not a scratch. O K, SO tell me there is no such thing as miracles and there is NO God!???

i'm sure there are many stories people on here can tell of tornadoes. yes they scare me!!!!
 
In my business (PDR) we have a different kind of storm chaser. They are the guys who blow into town after a hail storm, set up repair shops in vacant gas stations etc, and then blow back out of town when a better hail storm hits two states over. I heard there was some damaging hail down your way last night?!?
 
looks like plenty of storms blowing thru Mo, Ok, Ar, Ks. , yesterday afternoon, this a m, about 2 inches here so far, ground was covered in almost marble size hail. this a m... possibility of tornadoes, not huge threat they said!? LOL

another big cloud is trying to roll through now. looks like a lot of it will go thru Arkansas. watch our Mr. Memike!!! supposed to clear off thur a m. looks like chance of rain almost everyday for the 6-7! better than cold and snow!???
