I like that , thats cool. Here is one I seen last summer
The gasser look does not look right unless you have a late 40's, early 50's vehicle. Sorry but to me, that Dart looks ridiculous. Unless of course you're gonna put a plow on it :toothy10:.

plently of mid 60's SS and AFX cars had straight axles... dick landy had a dart and coronet
all the afx falcons and novas... its endless
A car that looks good is in the eye of the beholder no matter what year or period. So I should have a 41 Willey's with a straight axle instead of it being slammed to the ground ?. MarkTrue, but that doesn't mean they looked good!
IMO front leaf springs are good for trucks and stagecoaches and that Dart does not appear to be either.
If you're looking for a certain nostalgic or period appearance, you gotta stick with the correct period vehicle. '70 - '76 is just too new. It's like putting fuzzy dice, suicide knobs, moon discs and wide whitewalls on an '88 Diplomat .uke:

Agreed. MarkAgreed, but superlite asked for an opinion and I gave one.
You can do whatever you want to your Willys, I'm not saying you can't. I would put a 5.7 in it if it were mine. What I am saying is that if you're going for a certain look from a certain period, then you should stay with a vehicle from that period. Most vehicles will not look right IN MY OPINION if you try to backdate them.
On the other hand, I also think that taking an older vehicle and putting a modern drivetrain, suspension, etc. is very cool and looks awesome when its done right.
