If it has a tiny hydraulic cam that could create a similar condition. I had a Comp XE grind that would pull hard to around 5800 and hit a wall like it was on a governor.

As a for instance...a friend has a 499" RB with a .509 DC cam. He was ahocked that it made peak power at 5200 rpm and is DONE at 5400.

BTW, the truck license plate of semi-retired IMM owner Fred Hafliger is MPRRNCR. IMM is now owned by his son Brian, and Fred still works there part time.

Need pretty big ports to feed a 499 you see a lot of strokers knee over after peak.

A purple shaft cam has to be a terrible choice for a turbo engine.
