Hey guys, I've been rebuilding the front suspension and I've hit a snag. I bought the suspension kit from Mancini racing, and it covered just about everything, except this last pair of bushings.:angry7:

I'm trying to find out what the name of these bushings are, let alone where to buy them. I believe they are the LCA pivot arm bushings. Mancini has the rods, but not the rubber bushings from what I gather of their website.
I already have the strut rod end bushings, (2 large washers, 2 large bushings), but again for the life of me I can't find any info on those last two bushings...

Any suggestions?

***EDIT. I had typed in the wrong location of the bushings. I am looking for the LCA pivot bushings.

There are no bushings used for that area. The rear of the strut rod mounts solid to the control arm thru the hole and attaches w/ a nut on the back side.

There aren't any at that point.
That is a solid attachment that uses only a shouldered nut, no washers.
For each side there are 2 uca bushings, 1 lca bushing and
1 strut rod bushing at the kmember.

I used the complete Moog kit from Mancini and had a few little problems. I called Les over there and he was very helpful. I would recommend Mancini because of that experience.

Yeah sorry guys, I edited my post. I meant to say LCA pivot bushings. I was trying to imagine the piece (which is not on hand) and I put the wrong part down.

I was outside, and just realized it. I flew in here to edit, but you had already replied!!

Well then,
that bushing is a standard in all the kits I've ever used + it's the one that in my experience wears out first so it should be the 1st one they include.
Mancini"s kit should have them in there.
What kit did you order?

I just picked the lca's up from the shop and got them home. I knocked out the strut rods, and took out the lca pivot rods. I see the original lca bushing, I believe it's rubber, and the Mancini kit I bought (the plus size one) has two RUBBER LCA bushings because they didn't supply polys.

Also, when I took the pivot arms out, my left hand side has a ball shaped end, while the right has a washer/flat shaped end. On Mancini's sight, they sell them in kits with 2 per package. The only problem is, I looks like I have one of each. One for polys, on the left, and one for rubbers on the right. That might have been a job done by the previous owner, or stock. Anyone notice this before?

I might have confused myself this morning. I admit I know very little to nothing about suspension and or mechanics. I paint, sand, and weld that's it.
I apologize for asking the obvious, and I hope you guys don't mind all the questions. I'm really trying to build it myself instead of dumping it on you forum guys. :)

I looked at them on mancini.
The mancini flat washer one looks like the originals, yet its listed for poly. that one also looks like there might be more room for a longer bushing than the ball one.
Its best to do some measurements from the xmember mating surface to see if the bushing will end up in the same position on both.

I seem to recall seeing the ball one sometime in the past, might have been a replacement part.

The ball one looks like it has the same measurements as the original,
The Mancini washer type looks like the bushing could be pushed on further.
The measurements will tell the story.
you will figure it out.

I checked out that link, but only the first page will pull up, the last two said article cannot be found.

Both ball, and flat ended pivots rods are almost identicle in length. So, maybe it wouldn't even matter. I'll do some measuring and see if I can figure it out. If worse comes to worse, I'll just order both sets, and put the LCA pivot rods back the way I found them.

I got off the phone with Mancini, and I think I have it. The man on the phone had mentioned maybe the previous owner just changed one pivot shaft, that's why i have one of each.

He suggested the pivot shaft with the ball type end, since the Super Kit they offer, has 2 Rubber LCA bushings. If you use polys, you must use the washer type pivot shaft.

Everyday's like Christmas here. I never know what the previous owner has done. I found nails, and sheetrock screws last week in place of cotterpins.

I`ve read that the poly LCA bushings were causing squeaking problems. A lot of companies that sell the suspension kits will now omit the poly LCA bushings and sell the poly kits with only rubber LCA bushings.
