Stupid question???

Here is one more option for you. These are still available from Monroe, but are special order at most part supply houses. The price shown $83 is for a pair, so not really too expensive.

They will raise the rear of your car about an inch or so (if it is sagging due to weak leaf springs) and ride much better than air shocks.

Just another idea to consider and alot less work to install. They can also be returned if you are not happy with them. I would order them thru your local parts house so that shipping or returns are not an issue.

Those are nice. I had them on my GTS and my Fury Sport. I just got the 1200 lb. helper springs that do the same thing for my Scamp. They were on ebay for about $30.

I know this is a 3 year old thread but better than starting a new thread + its adding new info.

Im guessing these are the same, they just changed the name of them. Same part number as well as the pricing for the pair.

Just keep in mind that anything you do such as air shocks or coil over should be considered a temporary fix. Since both "solutions" involve putting resistance between the leaf spring and body to acheive a goal, you need to know that is an incorrect method. Doing that will pretty much render the Mopar leaf spring suspension useless and ultimately cause traction problems. Shackles should also be the dead last thing on the list as far as modification. They add vertical length to the distance between the frame rail and the leaf spring eye, which gives the spring more lateral "leverage" if you will against the shackle and frame rail. There have been people who have bent shackles and even had the eye end of the frame rail torn out from that extra leverage. The best and most correct way is the very first answer. Better leaf springs. As cheap as they are, that should be the only way.
