stupid transmission crossmember question

In my neverending quest to post a stupid question in every category, I am asking which way the transmission crossmember goes. I am working on a 67 Dart with a 904 behind a 273. Does the lip of the crossmember go towards the back of the car?

well , its self explanatory when you try to line it up with trans.

Not really, if you want to bolt it to the transmission first!
Lip goes toward the rear.
