sub frame cut out.

Hey just asking if or what i should do about a big hole cut through the floor hump right where the tranny cross member bolts to. Before i got the car someone had cut though the floor hump to move the three on the tree to the floor and had cut where the sub member crosses the top of the tranny hump. The car is a 1968 dodge dart 4 door other than that its very nice.

Patch it with sheetmetal......either from a donor car (easiest way) or from a metal supply store

They cut out just the sheet metal, but they cut that moulded hump piece as well. that thin metal support. The cross member is still good and the bolt holes line up well. I am putting a 4 speed in soon and i think the floor hump on the 4 speed sits just behind that brace. I think mabey a piece of flat stock steal welded in there should work. What about a frame shop after i get things together can they make sure its strait, it being a uni body?
