sump in the middle

I ordered a new gas tank for my RB Valiant. I asked for a sump to be added. The bungs are in the middle of the tank. Anyone ever tried this on a drag car?

My plan is to have a sump also not sure if I will purchase the fabbed one above or a stock tank.

I welded a sump I made at work on my stock gas tank a couple years back, Works great.
