Sumter County Florida Winter Extravaganza/Swap Meet

I just attended The Winter Extravaganza / Swap Meet, at The Sumter County Fairgrounds, in Bushnell, Florida. This is an annual event, held in February each year. The event is similar to the Spring and Fall Events, in Carlisle, Pa. -- Although it is not a big as The Carlisle Event, it has over 1,000 Vendors, A Car Corral, A Car Show, and Food Concessions. - It has grown to be a Major Event in North Central Florida. -- If you plan to attend, and cruise the aisles, expect to spend all day. -- Next Week is The Zephyrhills Auto Events, in Zephyrhills, Fl. This event is similar, and apparently larger, and includes a Collector Car Auction. - This Event is advertised as The Largest Event, of it's type, in The State Of Florida.

Used to live close to Zephyrhills and went quite often. Started to go down hill a few years ago. Problems between the promoters and vendors. Sill worth while to go. Since then I believe Carlisle events has taken over and has been tuning it around. The auction in good if your a buyer, seller not so good.

-- It's no longer a Carlisle Event. The Carlisle Event is now in Tampa.. -- Some sort of controversy happened, and Carlisle pulled out. -- Don't know any details.

Yup I went to the Sumter swap meet and plan on attending both the Zephyrhills next weekend (20th for me) and the Lakeland shows25th to the 28th (27 or 28th for me,that's the one that pulled out of the Zephyrhills show) it's at 4175 Medulla Rd Lakeland, FL 33811

I'm from Pa., and I go to both the Spring and Fall Events, in Carlisle, Pa. - Those are Big'uns. -- They also hold the following events there. -- Imports -- Ford -- GM -- Chrysler -- Truck -- and Corvettes.
