I know this has been discussed before but I cannot find the info that I need. My son has a 70 Duster with SS springs. I know that people get shocks and brake hoses from 1/2 ton trucks to make up for the extra height that the springs add.

Which 1/2 ton truck should I use to order shocks and rear brake hose?

Thanks

I used a B van rear hose 1975 some were in there, but used Monroe racing shocks that were longer back then.

Per my parts buddy, here are shock specifications. Would the truck shock be a good option?

70 Duster
Extended 21.25"
Compress 13.00"
Travel 8.25"

86 Dodge 1/2 ton truck
Extended 25.00"
Compress 15.5"
Travel 9.50"

Chrysler use to recommend imperial shocks for the s/s springs .

I got a set of Monroe Sensa trac 58577 coil overs for my Cuda. I had the parts guy reference the shock and they fit a ton of B bodies plus several more makes. That's what I plan for the Duster.

Extended 22.5"
Compressed 13.75"
Travel 8.75"

Thanks

The stock Duster rear brake hose is 14". An '86 truck hose is 26". I would imagine that I can secure it to keep it away from anything that would damage it.
Does this sound like too much?
