sure grip posi identification

I have a sure grip posi with these numbers on the ring.
37 394 2.2 338 Can anyone make something out of the gear ratio
I bought it this way and am trying to find a pinion that wiil work. Please advise as to how to proceed.

You must not mix and match ring gear and pinion gears.
They are a matched set.

Can they be interchangable? With similiar gear ratios?

No,The pinion and ring gea rare matched sets.If you don,t have a pinion I would buy a new gear set.Also the ring gear wouldn,t have any for the posi unit.This is how to proceed buy a new gear set.Mark
