I'm looking into putting an aftermarket sway bar onto my 71 Duster. Are most aftermarket kits bolt on items? Or do I need sway bar tabs on my lower control arms? And if I have a 73+ k-frame (which I used to get the bbp) would I use a 73-76 sway bar or do I still use a 70-72 sway bar?

If you have a '73-up k-member, you'll use a '73-up swaybar. This applies for both factory and aftermarket. I put a factory swaybar on my '71 Scamp (it has the '73-up k-frame) with factory LCAs with the tabs. I'm not sure about the aftermarket using the tabs. I believe depending on the mfgr, some use them and some bolt on elsewhere...with drilling required no doubt.

The big reason for the different types is because the '73-up sway bar goes through the k-member (which is nicer, IMO) as '70-72 sway bars do not, they run below the k-member.
