Tach adapter compatability?

Well the factory tach doesn't work off the green output wire of the Crane Hi 6 module.

Reading the instruction book - it seems I need a tach adapter, PN 6000-8920.

Trouble is, the Crane adapter is not readily available - so wondering of the MSD 8920 (Note similar part #) will do the same job?

Can't see any reason why it wouldn't as they are both designed for CD units and for magnetic trigger operation - but maybe someone has done this and can confirm?

I have not used the MSD adapter with the crane ignition, but I used the MSD adapter with my jacobs ignition and it cured the tach problem. I see no reason why it shouldn't work.
