tach

I was thinking about my magnum 5.2, and was wondering about how to hook up a tach. I don't know if you could hook it up to the coil, or try to tie into the computer. any body done it? dave.

There is a designated tach signal from the pcm, and my cousin just hooked it up on his magnum swapped 46 Ford truck. The only catch was that he had to run his tach on 4cyl. mode, the signal must be cut down to work with the factory clusters.

I spliced mine into the coil connection from the pcm and it works fine.
