Tailshaft Swap

Does anybody know if you can swap a tail shaft with dual shifter mounting from an E-body to a regular B-body one with a single shifter mount? I want a non OD 4 speed to put in my Duster by using the adapter plate outlined on Bigblockdart.com because it's too hard finding an A-body one at a reasonable price.

Those Tailshaft housings are interchangeable. The only difference is E-body has both patterns ( most truck OD do also, but sometimes are not tapped). Look on the Brewers site...
