I helped build a 408 for a 64 barracuda last winter and we didnt spend anywhere near 10k. I f you already have them block the stroker kit is 12-1300 dollars. Machine work is around 800 max. We did aluminum heads and all and it was only 4500.

What it run?

As a young lad my self (19yo) currently building a stroker I can say it ain't cheap to do one thats worth doing, meaning whats your et goal? please don't build a stroker abody to go 12's because they can be had with much less, oh and don't forget trans and super stock springs!:cheers: Alot of et can be cleaned up with thos to things alone

The best advise I can offer is to get your hands on a copy of the book "how to rebuild your small block mopar" By Don Taylor, and Larry Hoff.
There are many many pitfalls, and traps for young players when building engines. So giving a good book like that a thorough read before tearing your 360 down will greatly reduce your chances of making costly mistakes. (Even the pro's get it wrong sometimes)
