Recently my temperature gauge and fuel gauge have developed a weird "surge" or bouncing. While driving the car the ammeter holds steady close to center on the gauge with no bouncing. But the temp gauge and fuel gauge are pretty constantly bouncing. This is new phenomenon for the car. When I redid the dash I installed a new IVR. I also added new grounds on the back. I don't seem to have any electrical issues in the dash otherwise. Dash lights work; switches work. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like the new IVR to me.
Don't see how it could be anything else.

Watch it and don't run it like that.
Did you get a parts store mechanical IVR or a new electronic one from..

As you know, it can fry the gauges if it's the IVR.
Disconnect the fuel tank sender plug and temp plug if you have to drive it.
Better safe than sorry.

as said above this is a great piece and helps for an accurate reading . sounds like your voltage limiter is pulsing out more than 5 volts .

I believe I got the IVR from Rock Auto. Went ahead and picked up one of these RTE limiters. Thanks for the advice.
