i see people selling clusters on ebay and here,dont mention the gauges work,people buy them and take a chance,here is a simple step to test them without burning them up and get more $$$
my dad told me this in 1968,he was smart
get 2 wires with clips
6V lantern battery,the square one, 2 bucks
test the gauges,when they go up to peg,take off one wire,it goes down,the gauge is good
speedo,cordless drill with a ft of a cable,stick it in and hit it in reverse,watch the needle and trip meter,if its steady,its good,if the cable binds it needs work
