Don is a wealth of knowledge. I had a chance to talk to him even though the phones were ringing off the hook. I ordered the A688 ignition kit and a wire set from Custom Wires last week and received everything a few days ago.

How much advance are you running? I have one of his kits and I'm at 14 degrees and my motor is pinging and rattling....I think I might need more. I might have to move my coil because the vacuum advance is now hitting the coil.

65s, you need to index back a tooth if you are hitting the coil at 14 degrees. Or, since pulling the dist drive shaft is a pain with the intake on, try shifting your wires back one socket.
