Yeah, I guess I was way ahead of the times back in high school in 1984/85. My first car, a 1971 Challenger, had faded paint that was buffed through in spots to the primer, a bunch of primer spots from me "fixing" some of the rust and a flat black lift off hood basically because I could not afford a paint job. Nowadays it would be called a rat rod
