Hello Rodney,
The thick plates, and thin platas differ in that the thick has all .090 plates through out, the thin plate kit has all .090's except for the end plates; which are .060 thick.
The Mopar kit has all thick.

.....looks like i'll be opting for the thick plates....actually...i'll probably get the Mopar plates, since they are mopar
 
THAT they didn't say..........i'm going to go with the mopar plates, since they are Mopar
 
I would imagine that the thick plates make more friction, thus spinning 2 tires more often.
 
I've done a couple of diffs with the mopar plates. Kinda gives it a "spool" like performance. Tire squeals going around corners over crosswalks. Hooks up at the track too.
 
based on the last post, i'd say Mancini developed the thin plate set for a milder application


.....and i'm still going with the mopar plates
