Large format (8 1/2" x 11") softcover heavy coated stock 82 page book with 143 rare black and white photographs Also numerous maps and timetables of the legendary Putnam Division that ran trains from The Bronx to Brewster, New York from 1881 - 1982. This book gives the history of this New York Central Railroad division that used antique steam locomotives until 1951 and was the site of early diesels as well. Nearly 9,000 books have been sold and this book has been out of print since 1997.
