Hey guys,
I recieved another batch of dealership sales records, these are from Barry Dodge in Brockport, NY. I am still sorting them out by assembly plant / model year but the he first batch of VINs from this stash are loaded up to the site now, I did all the Hamtramck cars first. There were 189 total ranging from 1968-1975. They are mostly for A-Bodies but there are some Challengers as well as 1968 & 69 Chargers mixed in.

Thanks to Jerry Glogowski for sending these in!

Link to check for your VIN;

Best of luck!

Barry

I am working on the Windsor cars now, there are A-Body records for St. Louis & Newark cars as well. I'll update here as I get these all sorted out & done.

I still go to the summer car show at Barry Dodge. Drove my '76 Duster when it still had a 318 in it to the show three years ago. Nice friendly cruise in type atmosphere. I get out there almost every year! Glad to know the records are getting shared with the possible owners.

Cool! Is there a museaum in the area? It would be cool if they had any vintage photos of the dealership. :-)

Hey gang,
Phase two is now complete, VINs for 149 more cars that either sold new & / or used from Barry Dodge are now available so you can search for your VIN.

Phase one was the Hamtramck built cars, this batch includes 1968-1974 cars from the Windsor, Ontario & St. Louis plants. There are a few more Hamtramck cars as well that I missed during the first sorting session.

You can look for your VIN at the link below;

If I have an item for your car the item is yours for free with proof of legal ownership.

Thanks once again to Jerry Glogowski for sending these in!

I searched the website before, no luck.
My car was built at Hamtramck, and sold out of Netzley Plymouth/Dodge, (Clyde C. Netzley, Inc.), in Naperville, IL.
It closed in the 80s.
Any idea how I can locate records? or possibly the original owner?
Thank you.

I know the Netzleys very well. Want I should ask anything special
for you next time we are having a beer?

Also, Illinois has pretty good records on car titles. It will cost a
few dollars, not much, but usually you can get title records for the
car from the state. They will have the original owner title since
it was sold in Illinois.

Done this many times with IL dmv.

Good luck.

LOL that's funny! You know, my cousin is a vice cop in
Naperville and she IS hot!

That is too kool.
Do you know Dee Netzley Schumacher?
I spoke to her nephew as well, but he did not recall my car or the original owner, I know it was a long shot.

Ask them if they recall someone ordering a green Formula S 383 in May of 1967 who kept it at least until their dealership closed.

Do they have any pics of the dealership?

This is too weird, I have been searching for a long time, playing detective, trying to find the original owner, or his widow from what I am told.

Did you have to write a letter to the IL DMV, or did you do it on-line?
