Here is a series of videos from YouTube by a guy who's obviously been around the block a time or two with the TQ.
Very mellow and soft-spoken but he explains the theory of how it works and how to tune it in a way that makes you go "Duh!"
I watched the You Tube "Official" 1972 Chrysler training vid on the TQ and couldn't understand a friggin' word the guy said. No wonder they called it the "Thermo-junk" back then...they couldn't figure it out.

I rebuilt my 1st carb last year a TQ and used most of his videos for help. Very informative!

The biggest ***** I have about the TQ is that a lot of the adjustments have to be made with the carb off of the vehicle and possibly upside down.
Seems like there's a ton of adjustments to do as well.

That's not very intuitive or time effective.

Even the AFB/AVS fast idle has to be done with the throttle wide open.
Kind of makes it a ***** to set when cold and running.

Thanks for posting. I've got a bucket full of TQ's I love to get working correctly.

If you watch the vids you will see he's found a way around most of them. (carb off vehicle and/or upside-down adjustments)

I only have two now. My son just bought one to set up for his 318. Between the two of us we may need parts, and always on the prowl for decent early 340 TQ carbs........
