Hi Guys,

Could you help me please? I wonder if is possible I put rims 17x7.5, 4x100/114.3. on 1974 Duster...Do I need to do some adaptation ?...what`s the best size of tires to match with these rims?

Thanks for your support.

Are they 4 lug? Or is that a typo? If they're 4x114.3 they won't fit.

If that's a typo and you meant 5x100/114.3 we'd have to know the backspacing to know for sure.

You can definitely run 17x7.5" rims, that's easy. But they'd have to be 5x114.3 with the right backspacing. I have 18x9's and 18x10's on my '74 Duster.

It would also be helpful to know if you have the stock suspension, drums or disks in the front, and if you still have the stock rear axle.

Q: Does Duster have disk or drum brakes?

Reason for asking is that if the car is a drum brake car or was converted to KH disk brakes from a 72 or earlier, the bolt pattern will be 4" (101.6 mm). If, on the other hand, it was a factory disk brake car, the bolt pattern will be 4½" (114.3 mm). IMO, a wheel tire package that is a maximum of 26.1" high and 9.5" wide with a wheel back space of 4¼" ought to fit a normal A-body wheel well. How you choose to get there is your business.
