Thoughts?

Old voltage regulator:
Key ON:
Fuel reads half
Temp reads 120
Engine ON:
Fuel and Temp Peg all the way to right


New voltage regulator:
Key ON:
Fuel reads empty
Temp reads -120
Enigne ON:
SAME.

Tested gauges and sending units, both check good.
Dash ground good, connections good.

One of the pins on my big round connector was loose and when I put it back together it pushed off to the side and touched the other copper strip on back of cluster causing all sorts of problems,just a thought.

When you indicate you changed the voltage regulator, do you mean the one on the firewall involved with the charging system, or do you mean the voltage limiter plugged into the back of the gauge cluster?

I changed the instrument cluster voltage regulator, although the one on the firewall had been changed recently by the previous owner.
