will a throttle cable from a /6 work for a v8? the one i have was for the /6 but since i dont have a carb on my engine i dont know if it will work for my v8.

the v8 one is shorter, although you maybe able to make a loop in the cable and zip tie it you might be better off purchasing the proper one

Give it a try first. The slant 6 cable worked great when I swapped in the
360 in my Dart. I've heard guys swapping in a HEMI love the slant 6 cable.
