I recently swapped my Lokar cable out for the factory type kickdown linkage. I just never liked the way the lokar cable made the tranny feel.

At any rate I put the mopar to demon linkage on the carb and went to hang the throttle cable on and theres not enough adjustment in it. I'm about 1/4" from where the stud used to sit so with the adjustment I can make I end up at 3/4 throttle with the peddle to the floor or if I adjsut at WOT I ended up holding the throttle plates open just enough. Does anyone know what the correct throttle cable length is for a 71 Duster 340 automatic?

I ran into the same type of thing with my super six conversion. What I did was got/made a slotted tube that fit over the cable end but not the stop flange of the cable, then used the bracket to clamp down on the tube. not the best solution but it is working for now.
