Hi all,

When I drive my 67 Dart, when I apply the brakes there is a thumping noise (I can feel it on the pedal as well) with each rotation when coming to a stop. I just replaced my pads last year. I know I need to replace my drums sooner than later. But what could that noise be? Could it be a bent drum?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

is it definitely coming from the rear?

SORRY! Forgot the important detail...the sound is coming from the front driver side wheel.

What condition is the front end? Been rebuilt? Check for play by jacking up one side and try to move the tire left to right then try to move the top and bottom. Do both sides.

You said you had new pads in place , Does that mean you've converted to front disc brakes ? If so you could have a warped rotor.

They are drum brakes....Artie, I believe you may be right. i will check tonight and let you know. THANKS
