So a few months ago, I bought this 360 from a guy I have been buying parts from my whole life. So when I picked it up, I didn't bother running any numbers or anything, because he has never steered me wrong before. Well, the machine shop calls today and tells me its of course a 318. So, now i am going to attempt to build a fairly stout 318 for my demon. Here is whats taking place so far....
Block punched out .040 over
Flat top pistons
Possible zero decking(does it give any kind of a large advantage?)
Heads to be fitted with 2.02 intake valves and possibley some mild porting
Then, i have to try to find a good cam, intake, and carb combo to get as much as i can out of this engine. I read an article one time where they were able to pull 415Hp from a 318 @ 6200rpm i think it was. If anybody has any suggestions, I'd be glad to hear em!
