I saw this in our local Tidbits paper last night thought it was interesting.

Chrysler paid $50,000 to Warner Brothers for the privilege of using the cartoon image of the Road Runner on the side of the Plymouth Road Runner muscle car, which began manufacture in 1968. They also expended $10,000 to develope a horn with a "Beep Beep" sound effect.

Yeah, I remember reading something to that effect back in the day.

I purchased a yellow Hemi Roadrunner, new, in 1968. It was my first new car, and I was interested in knowing everything about it.

Hemi, 833 4 speed, Dana yellow hardtop with black vinyl interior. It was a little over $3200.00 (sigh).

If we only new what these cars were going to be like today we would have one heck of a collection. Plus all gear head's garages would be 4-10 car stalls maybe even bigger. lol
