Hello all,
I'm a little confused and need some direction. Putting the front end of the 74 Duster back together and getting some, what seems to be, conflicting info from the 74 Chrysler service manual. I'm looking for torque specs for the nuts on the tie rod ends. The manual shows 2 different #'s. The valiant specific image shows them at 70 ft lbs and the manual text describes 40 ft lbs. I did notice that the images did call for 40 ft lbs for every other car line other than valiants. Is there a miss print? I don't want to over or under torque, what is correct? Thanks.

I believe the 40 ft lbs is correct - that's what my 65 FSM shows as well.
