Initial till the starter bucks, back off 2 degrees
And a LOT of people don't understand JUST how close that gets one.
The problem with post #27 method is this: that [ it ] might not be enough timing for some big cammed engines.
The fix is to use a 3+HP starter like the MSD DynaForce which will crank with ANY amount of initial timing. Then, the correct initial timing can be used.
