I have a 318 with a timing problem. I have a nice solid timing mark on the dampner(I think that's what it's called), But I don't have the shark tooth timing marks that I believe attaches the the waterpump. Any ideas where I can pick one up?

Vortex, not sure what motor you have, but the water pump housing should have marks for +/- 10 deg clearly stamped on it.

Most 69 and earlier small blocks have the timming marks on the pass side of the car. They also had cast iron water pumps. They had timming chain covers with no timmng markers. For these engines there should be a marker tab bolted on the pass side of the top of the h2o pump. It is held on by 2 h20 pump bolts.

The 70 and later SBs have the marker on the driver side of the timming chain cover, and they have alluminum h20 pumps. The marks are very hard to see if you have a factory air car. Hope this helps.

What year car and motor do you have ???.

If you need a bolt on timmg marker I have a few (nos).
