If you need to paint small items like bolts and don't want to paint the threads, use Aluminum foil. Aluminum foil is great for masking off things when painting, better than tape in some cases.
I've used aluminum foil to mask quite a few things ,works great to conform to awkward shapes !
Yup, especially in an engine compartment when you don't want to pull everything.
this right here.I take a cardboard box and punch holes in it with a screwdriver, then place the bolts in the holes so only the top gets painted. Plus, it's fast and it also holds them nice.

lmao ... the "one hit wonder"Do you have a name for this "special piece" with different size holes?:la::downtown:ops:
I did the cardboard thing as well for bolts, works great. Then when I put the bolts in and tightened them it tore the paint all to pieces. I can't win for losin'.
