Here's on for you...if you use acrylics

It's the lid of a Tupper ware container with a few pieces of paper towel

You get those wet, untill they are soaked but not dripping

Then you put some baking parchment paper over it and place your paints on there

The water keeps the paint moist and it doesn't dry out (at least not before you're done)

Didn't think about this when I saw your post about shaking up your paints. I think it was on youtube that I saw a guy recommend using a jigsaw as a paint shaker. He went to HD or maybe Lowes and got a small wood clamp that would slide into the blade mount. I got a cheap one at HF and have to wrap a piece of tape around it to keep it from slinging the bottle out. I have shaken paint that hasn't been used in several years and it works great.

When painting a 2 tone before the 2nd color, paint along tape line with 1st color. This seals tape and if breeding happens no issue!

I love the new Zip glue thats out, I can't tell you how many times I had to build a cardboard brace to help hold parts (manifold/headers, roll bar work, front suspension) in place while the glue dried back in the day, not no more  Zip glue is the way to go.

carboard?

i used to build jigs out of legos to hold stuff in place while the glue dried
though better suited for slightly larger things like frames, it would work great for roll cages too

I would cut an X out, the size needed to hold it at that perfect location, card board was plentiful, no Legos in my house back then, we are talking 30 years ago, two X es with a tooth pic made good holding braces.

Here's one you may not think of build your work space to make you smile when you enter it. I surround myself with things from my childhood and car stiff and things folks give me.
