Tire Jack Assembly Colour?

I picked up a used tire jack assembly for my 70 Duster 340. What is the proper colour for the hook, base, tire iron? I have seen them painted black and grey. I’m just about to sandblast all pieces.

That looks just like my 67's. Black jack head, base, hook and tire iron. Natural finish on the post.
