Ok gents here goes, Im sure this question has been asked a upteen million times but I couldn't find a definite answer.
Car- 1966 Barracuda, 14" rims, 10" drums

Currently car has 195/75R14 dunlops on it. 195/75's are harder and harder to find, unless you go with some cheap Chinese junk tire (not on my life!!!)
I did find 205/70R14's in BFG T/A's and a couple different brand 195/70's as well. Whats the difference? What originally came on the car?

I like the look of the BFG T/A's (something about the white raised lettering on a classic car is awesome) but would the 205's be too big for the car to handle/corner well?
Thanks gents!

205/70 wont be much differnet than the 195/75, just wider. Here's some specs:
Diameter/tread width/sidewall height..

205/70 - 25.3"/8.07"/5.65"
195/75 - 25.52"/7.68"/5.76"

a 195 75 14 and a 205 70 14 are basically the same height, and I would think a perfect replacement for the 195 75 14's.

I'd go with the 205's myself, the white lettering is just up to you, I personally prefer blackwall out.

And welcome to FABO...

Thanks for the fast replies guys. Just got the car a week or so ago, and getting it road ready. Tires, rebuild the braking system (new MC, rubber lines, and wheel cylinders already purchased)
