What is the rear end? If you've gone to a B-Body or swapped an A-body 8-3/4 to BBP then you going to need a rim with more negative offset or more backspacing. Honestly, the best thing to do is measure what you have and do the math. For example, my A-body 8-3/4 with BBP needed a back spacing of 5.375" for an 17x8 rim to fit with a 245/24/17. Before I had a 15x7.5 centerline with 5" of backspacing and a 225/60/15 and it was centered. But this is on my 69.

summit lets you search by section width. get something 9.65" or less.

My rear is a moser dana 60 built for a abody with wilwood disc brakes

Mine is a strange. The thing is you can have a wide variety of rear end widths under an abody. I have mine made to use 3.5" backspace wheels.

Then your going to need to measure unless you know for sure the hub to hub is the same as a factory A-body rear. Its easy to do with a square and tape measure if you have a rim off one side, but I suggest you do both sides, as the rear end may not be centered, production tolerances vary and who knows what has gone on with the car in the last 48 years. Or buy the Percy wheel rite. Just remember a rim is about 1" wider than the spec, i.e. an 8" wide rim is measured from the inside of the bead, so the outside dimension will be around 9", you need to consider this if using backspacing for fitment and shopping (this is why using offset is better, it takes the true rim width out of the equation).
