ok im on my way to the tire shop tomorrow. I need some tires for the rear on my 66 cuda. I have recently installed an 8 1/4 rear out of a 74 dart. I have stock leafs. I have a set of 4 16X8 inch billet specialty wheels with 4 inch backspace. My question is what size tire should I have them mount on one of the wheels to mock on the rear? I have 195/50/16 on the front. This is just to get the right size for the back. If I could get an answer tonight I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Did some research tonight and found out that a 195 tire will not fit on an 8 inch rim. I guess this means my rims are 7 inch. Does that make a difference on the size tire I can use?

225 60 16 should work, most clearance issues with early A's are with the upper outer wheel house area.(check both sides as manufacturing tolarances from Ma Mopar vary) a 7'' rim with 4'' backspace will be close. Factory mopar wheels in 7'' are 4 1/4'' and give you a little more room to the outer side.
