tire size

what is the biggest tire i can fit under my '72 swinger without using a spring relocation kit??

it has a 8 1/4 diff,stock springs,and i want to use 15"

I seemed to remember someone saying they stuffed a 235 or 245/60/15 under there.

I have 235/60/15 on mine with no rubbing issues 71 Swinger with an 8 1/4 and American Racing Hopsters (7" w 3 3/4BS)

and what would fit with the relocation kit?

You would probably be able to fit larger if you got custom BS like 4" i have about 1/2" from the tire to the whell lip and 3/4 to the leaf. so if you could live with tighter clearance you could probable get 245s in there without the spring relocation

I run just the spring offset hangers which gains me about 3/4 per side and I run 10.50 x 28 mickey thompsons on 15 x 8 rally's on my '72 swinger. Hope this helps
