Tire size

[Dart swinger 73]

Hi Guys
I'm planing to put 15" wheels on a 73 Swinger. Front and back. What is the largest tire I can install on the back without cutting anything.:dontknow:

I have 225 70 15's on the back with a 4.5 inch backspace and they just clear the springs and have about an inch between the tires and fender.
This a factory 7.25 rear end.

A 235 would probably fit ok if a 3.5 backspace was used.
Can't swear to it.

Also I run 205 70-15 on the front with a 4.5 backspace and they are fine.

9.6" section width is the largest that will fit on a stock dart.

This is a pic of my 69 with 235/60/15 drag radial. It fits real well with room.

not the best pic, but im running 255/60/15 coopers as my street rubber, and mickey t 28/10.5/15 sportsman pros on the strip, on 15/7 ralleys

i ran 235-60-15`s on 73 dart they hooked good but i also had caltracs
