currently i am running 2 185/70 r13 in the front i like those the sizeing is right but my backs are 245/60 r14 and they look really bulky what size tires is a tad smaller i might be able to go with? i would love lo pros but to spendy just want normal pass tires.

The closest to the factory size would be something like a 155/85-13. A 185/80-13 is a good choice if you insist on the stock rims.

A 195/75-14 would be typical for 14" A-body wheels stock. A 205/70-14 will work fine.

OR, I have some bias ply studded snows on 13" rims you can have for free. These will give you a cool retro look.

anyone know what the stock tire size is on the front stock 13's ?

The 1966 models had 6.50-13 tires on the 6 cylinder models, 7.00-13 on the V-8s (with drum brakes). The disk brake cars had 14" wheels that were 4.5" wide except on the Formula S or the rally pack Darts which were 5.5" wide.

Picking an equivalent radial is a little problematic. You can get a similar physical size radial to the OEM bias ply tires, but it won't have the carrying capacity. Usually, it is necessary to go up a size to get the load capacity to be comparable.

For instance a 6.50B-13 would equate to roughly a 165R-13 in terms of section width. To get the same load carrying ability a 175R-13 would be required. Note: Same section height ratio of tire, different rolling height (or circumference, to be more precise).

The discussion gets more involved when section height and rim diameters are altered and compared. The main considerations are section width and the height of the wheel/tire package.

I just swaped out some 225/60/15 for some 235/70/15 tires on the back of my 65 Barracuda. IMO they look a lot better, they fill the wheel well nicely.
The 60 tires looked to short from a side view.

i talked to 3 diff tire places tires arnt cheap.! im going 185 70 r13 in front again and 215 70 r14 in the back.

That should look good the 185/70/13 are about 7.2"sec. wide and 23.3 tall
The rear 215/70/14 are 8.5" sec. wide and 25.9 tall. I think a shorter tire on the front looks nicer on most of the A bodies.

You may try used tires to save some money.

Good subject... What would be the equivalent tire to the Blue Streaks on the 14X5.5" rims? Thanks.

$225 for 4 tires is seriously cheap. I'm happy if I can get a single tire for $225 for most of my vehicles, but I don't buy cheap tires.

Not sure what size the tires were maybe E70-14 size would be 25.92" tall
6.25" tread 8.15" section width

Close in size to a 205/75/14 26.15" tall 5.73" tread 8.20" section width
