I just test fitted some slicks on the 69 cuda. With the wheels I got and the slicks i'm using there is only about 3/8" to a 1/2" between the tire and the springs. What's a good safe distance? Thanks Tom

Depends on the amount of sidewall you have on your tires. The more the sidewall the more it will flex or bulge, and could cause it to kiss the spring.

But since you are dealing with a leaf spring suspension, you wont have to worry too much about flex, which is a plus!

Dont know why I did not see you are running slicks. If it were my car I would want no less than 1/2" with slicks. Those suckers move around a bunch!
