To swap in an 8 and 3/4 or not ?

Hey fellas, In my 69 barracuda I currently have an 8 and 1/4 bbp rear end
with 321 open gears in it. I am just building a nice driver. Anyways I would like to have a suregrip in it. Do you think i would be money ahead to just put a suregrip in my current setup ? or find an 8 and 3/4 rear end ? If I do that I have to shorten driveline, get bbp axles etc correct?

Unless your pumping big horse power to the rear wheels I'd look for a sure grip for the 8.25.

Thanks fellas !! As far as the suregrip goes I can just get that from summit ?
I assume I'll have to have a rear end mechanic install ?

You can get it from summit or you can go to the junkyard and find a 96 or olde jeep GC and pull both the better gears and sure grip unit plus the rear disc brake setup from it and bolt it directly to your a body 8.25.
